#Qarc berkeley how to#
We are getting advice from African American Staff on how to implement a fund in accordance with prop 209 for this money to go into. However, the money we have raised will go towards assisting Black students at Cal with financial needs by one of two methods: by my direct donation of these funds or by a scholarship implemented by summer of 2021. Feel free to contact me if you do want to directly donate and we will assist you with that. Currently there is no way to directly donate to the African American Initiative Scholarship thru Cal because it is held by the SF Foundation. This GoFundMe campaign will be shifted towards a scholarship we will implement for a collaborative effort to enrich and support African American students at Cal. Berkeleys Queer Alliance and Resource Center (QARC) and the UC Berkeley Multicultural Greek. It is our job to support each other and to be allies for those whose needs may be silenced! The University of California, Berkeleys Queer Fraternity. It is also a fact that only 86% of the black students accepted make it to graduation. Upon emailing staff at my school it was hinted that the issue could be more about the affordability of Cal than the acceptance into Cal. At Cal African American Students are about 3% of the overall student body! Three percent!
